WIC’s mission is clear...
It is to improve the nutrition and health status of
low-income women, infants, and children who are at-risk by
providing nutritious foods, nutrition and health education, and
referrals to other health and human services programs. We have a
similar vision here at the NYS WIC Training Center, where we are
committed to ensuring optimal nutritional services for
low-income women and children in New York State. We offer a wide
variety of training and technical assistance programs for WIC
local agencies who partner with their participants to achieve
healthy futures for women and their families.
We are working closely with the New York
State Department of Health, Division of Nutrition, Bureau of
Supplemental Food Programs to design and deliver training and
technical assistance programs that meet the needs of WIC local
agencies. It is our goal to offer training programs in
decentralized locations throughout New York State thus
increasing the accessibility of training for all WIC staff while
reducing your travel costs.
The NYS WIC Training Center is your staff
development resource. We are here to help you! |
