About the Region IV Training and Technical Assistance Partnership (RTTAP)

Cicatelli Associates Inc. (CAI), as the lead organization, is responsible for overall management of the project, including development, coordination and delivery of the high-quality, comprehensive training and technical assistance.  CAI brings 30+ years of training and technical assistance expertise, particularly with family planning programs and other healthcare providers serving poor and minority women and their families.  For more information on Cicatelli Associates Inc., please visit our web site ( http://www.cicatelli.org ).

Migrant Clinicians Network (MCN), has expertise and a strong track record in clinical skills building and the provision of health care services to recent immigrants and rural communities.  In addition to clinical trainings, MCN training and TA activities will also include topics such as family violence prevention and the identification and clinical care for victims of human trafficking. 

Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (SCHSR) has extensive expertise in using data and distance learning technologies for quality improvement and monitoring and evaluation.  In particular, SCJSR has adapted and applied the Chronic Care Model to successfully improve quality  in a variety of health care settings, including family planning and prenatal care sites.
 

The RTTAP provides comprehensive training and specialized technical assistance to the ten Title X funded family planning services providers in the focus areas of Program Management; Clinical Activities, Information, Education and Communication; and Specialized Technical Assistance.

The RTTAP offers training free of charge to all Title X recipients in the region. Training is given in the following areas:

  • family planning
  • women’s health
  • adolescent health
  • male involvement in family planning
  • sex and sexuality
  • clinical updates
  • reproductive health
  • administrative needs
  • counseling skills

The RTTAP provides training in the eight states of Region IV through region-wide webinars, state video conferences and onsite training at agency locations throughout the region.
