Assessing Racial & Ethnic Disparities in Region II Family Planning Programs

Through a three-phase project that will include demographical studies and development of interventions targeting specific health indicators, CAI will assist FP providers in Region II to achieve racial and ethnic parity by identifying areas of service weakness and developing improved marketing and service delivery.

Cross Training Family Planning Providers & Peer Educators

The purpose of the committee is to discuss the advantages of a conference on how to provide better services to males, how to better reach the men in the communities and attract them by offering better programs aimed to them as well as a list of health care providers.

Family Planning Service Delivery Improvement Research Project

Project to Assess the Impact of Increasing Costs on the Delivery of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Services

Cicatelli Associates, Inc. (CAI) will conduct a case study approach to explore the impact of increasing costs and other factors on the delivery of family planning and reproductive health services over a 5-10 year period. The project will work with a sample of Title X family planning grantees and provider agencies to conduct an in-depth review and analysis of purchasing records, clinic operations, and other records to extract information required to determine the effect that changing costs have had on the delivery of family planning services. A relative value cost methodology will be utilized for each participant agency to determine the unit cost of service by CPT codes. CAI will develop cost of service reports providing in-depth information on the impact of changing costs, as well as other contributing factors, affecting the delivery of family planning services.

Infertility Prevention Program (Chlamydia)

In Region II, Cicatelli Associates coordinates the regional infrastructure between STD and Family Planning Providers an public health laboratories for the diagnosis and treatment of Chlamydia.

Male Involvement

A project to assist Title X Family Training Centers in the preparation and delivery of regionally-based training programs to provide a means of further strengthening and increasing efforts to involve males in all levels of family planning.

NATISHE - North Atlantic Training Institute for Sexual Health Educators

NATISHE is a skill-oriented training institute that focuses on program development and presentation skills. It is designed to strengthen the confidence and overall productivity of sexual health educators through participation in workshops, dynamic plenary sessions, and intensive small groups. NATISHE is designed particularly for individuals who are conducting group presentations in schools and community settings.

Regional Resource Network (RRN) Outreach

The RRN will conduct training and technical assistance activities that will increase the capacity of small Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to provide prevention and early intervention services for poor, minority communities disproportionately impacted by HIV/AIDS, STDs, and unwanted pregnancies.

Technical Assistance

To strengthen administrative, financial and clinic management systems at the grantee, delegate, and clinic levels. To enable projects to program and major initiatives of DHHS. To assist with the interpretation of pertinent program implement and better meet the objectives of the Title X regulations, the reporting requirements and other program criteria established for Family Planning projects.
