Title X Region II Family Planning Conference
This three-day conference was designed to provide family planning agencies with an opportunity to examine promising practices in the areas of preconception counseling, performance management and quality improvement, male reproductive health services, adolescent pregnancy prevention, and the implications of health care reform on family planning agencies. Panel presentations, plenary sessions, and workshops focused on increasing skills in managing family planning services. Objectives included:

ANNUAL ADOLESCENT HEALTH INSTITUTE:

The 11th Annual Adolescent Health
Institute provided adolescent health stakeholders throughout New Jersey
the opportunity to focus on new information and resources as they relate
to the many issues facing our youth. It was also a valuable opportunity
for professionals to network with their colleagues and share up-to-date
information. Participants gained important skills to incorporate
into their work with this hard-to-reach population. The training focused on:
NATISHE 2009 NATISHE is a residential training event for educators working in prevention, HIV/AIDS, sexuality, and family planning education. It is an experiential training designed to enhance educators' competencies.
Clinical Issues in Family Planning The purpose of this conference was to provide current, evidence-based clinical updates for family planning clinicians serving diverse patient populations. The featured keynote speaker was Sharon Schnare, FNP, CNM, MSN, FAANP, Educator, Consultant and Clinical Instructor from the Department of Family and Child Nursing at the University of Washington, School of Nursing.
