Welcome
The purpose of the National Training Center (NTC)
for Family Planning is to assist OPA/OFP and the Title X Regional
Training Centers in planning, developing, and coordinating training
and support activities for personnel in family planning service programs.
The NTC's goals are to:
- Coordinate and promote the sharing of resources and current
training information among Title X-funded training entities.
- Expand communications related to Title X family planning training
activities by periodically bringing together OFP staff, Title
X-funded training entities, Title X grantees, and experts in family
planning, reproductive health, and related areas.
- Strengthen the provision of training on selected topics of broad
impact to Title X family planning programs through the establishment
of national training guides and curricula.
- Maximize existing public and private training resources for the
benefit of the Title X-funded programs, including the National
Training Centers, IAATP, grantees, and delegates.
NTC resources include:
- Federal and private sector training resources and modules for
Title X-funded projects
- Guidance from a national committee of OPA-funded training centers
- Current listings of speakers, consultants, and training materials
developed in recent years by Title X-funded training entities
- Quarterly newsletters to keep you updated on all Title X-related
training activities
- Links to Title X training agencies
NTC activities include:
- Collaborating with OPA's Regional and National Training Centers
- Convening expert panels and workgroups
- Coordinating meetings of Title X federal staff regarding Title
X-funded training
- Coordinating the Male Health Educator Training Institute
- Coordinating HIV prevention grantee training and technical
assistance meetings for OPA/OFP staff, Title X-funded training
centers, and Title X HIV grantee personnel
- Coordinating National Grantee Meeting (NGM) for Title X-funded
grantees
