XI International Conference on Home and Community Care for PWHAs, Senegal

At the "XI International Conference on Home and Community Care for PWHAs," CAI International, led by CAI Training Director Rusty Chambliss, held two skills-building sessions on team-building, adherence to treatment and community preparedness. The sessions were held in French and English in collaboration with WHO and UNAIDS. As an outgrowth from our participation in the conference, CAI has received a request from the World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa to provide training and technical assistance to multidisciplinary teams of PWHAs, health care providers, faith-based organizations and traditional healers in Southern and Eastern Africa. This request relates to the WHO's "Treat 3 Million by 2005" initiative or, "3 x 5 Plan."
