Transtheoretical Model of Behavior Change Goal: To develop comprehensive training programs for HIV/AIDS in the identified countries and enhance the skills of the people delivering these programs to their communities at large. Objectives: · Develop a theoretical construct for behavior change and risk reduction activities. · Describe the Stages of Change and appropriate interventions for each stage. · Utilize Stages of Change interventions applied to male and female condom use in the prevention of HIV transmission and other sexually transmitted infections. · Analyze cultural implications for implementation of Stages of Change and to develop cultural competency in using the model. · To develop plans and skills for training others in-country in using Stages of Change to enhance their abilities in risk reduction for HIV transmission.
