Tobacco Control Cicatelli Associates Inc. (CAI) is committed to helping organizations offer and maintain a Smoke Free environment. The Smoke Free Programs and Services offered by Cicatelli Associates Inc. include: training in tobacco cessation, as well as technical assistance (TA) on organizational policy development and integration. Smoke Free Trainings and Technical Assistance CAI works with organizations, health care facilities and employers to develop tailored training program on smoking cessation for their sites. Our Clinical, Behavioral Health, Technical Assistance and Tobacco Control experts team up to provide training to deal with staff resistance and buy-in, program development, implementation and evaluation. In some instances, CAI may be able to provide training free of charge.   Collaborative support may be available to agencies and service providers in HIV/AIDS, substance abuse and mental health, family planning and certain prenatal care settings. Tobacco Control Training Project We are pleased to announce the launching of the Tobacco Control Training Project (TCTP). This begins a four-year collaboration between Cicatelli Associates Inc. (CAI), and the New York State Tobacco Control Program (NYS TCP) partners and staff.   Click here for more information on TCTP Smoking Cessation During Pregnancy: Implementing the 5A’s. This training package provides trainers with everything they need to train providers in how to use the 5A's intervention with clients. The '5A's' is an evidence-based method of intervention used by clinicians to identify pregnant smokers and provide them with support in trying to quit. Smoking Cessation During Pregnancy trainings examine the effects of smoking during pregnancy, techniques for intervening with pregnant smokers, and practical considerations regarding the implementation of the 5A's in a clinical setting. The training package consists of: a training curriculum, a training videotape with video guide, a consumer videotape, a CD containing PowerPoint slides for presentation, and links to online resources.
