What is Distance Learning?

Distance learning is a term used to describe learning from a distance, usually from home or from a remote location. Modes of delivery include audio, audio-graphic, satellite video, two-way videoconferencing, computer telecourse, internet wide area networks, local area networks or other electronic means.
It offers learners the flexibility to learn at their own pace, and at a time and location that is convenient to them. It can also drastically reduce travel costs associated with training, while allowing students access to online experts or topics that may have not been available to them in the past. One way Cicatelli Associates is expanding its signature experiential format of training to distance learning is by introducing CAIOnline. CAIOnline is a learning management system that allows us to reach a more diverse audience and to provide learning environments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CAIOnline events at Cicatelli include
