distance learning services to further assist organizations in their training, technical assistance and other staff development efforts.
What
is Distance Learning?
Distance learning is a term used to describe learning from a distance as opposed to in-person. Learners can participate with others in distance learning activities from virtually any location. Distance learning offers participants the flexibility to participate in activities electronically or through other means while in a location that is convenient to them. Modes of delivery include online training programs, webinars, conference calls, web-based clearinghouses and newsletters, satellite video, two-way videoconferencing, computer telecourse, video on demand, live online chats, discussion boards or other electronic means.
Distance learning activities can drastically reduce travel costs associated with training, while allowing participants access to online experts or topics that may have not been available to them in the past. Through distance learning, CAI is also able to provide follow-up to in-person training programs, allowing participants to access support and solidify learning.
Through distance learning activities CAI deploys, delivers, and tracks various technology based learning events and provides opportunities to
gain increased access to training, while saving time and other costs such as travel, meals, and lodging.

What
is CAIOnline?
One way CAI is expanding its experiential format of training to distance learning is by introducing CAIOnline. CAIOnline is a learning management system that allows us to reach learners at diverse locations and to provide learning programs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Through CAIOnline we offer web-based online learning programs that offer learners the flexibility to learn at their own pace, and at a time and location that is convenient to them.
