Description: This course is designed to provide clinical and counseling staff with the knowledge needed to offer HIV Rapid Testing as an option in the family planning clinic setting. It is designed for professionals with prior knowledge, training, and experience in providing HIV pre and post test counseling.
Price: There is no registration fee for this course. Please note, however, that a small fee will be charged for continuing education credits, which are optional.

Audience:  

This course is designed for clinicians and/or counselors who are providers of family planning services, including

  • contraceptive services.
  • pregnancy testing and counseling.
  • STI diagnosis and treatment.
  • preventive health and/or “well women care.”

The course is also applicable to clinicians and counselors in other primary care settings who are committed to integrating routinely HIV counseling, testing, and preventive services into reproductive health care. This course can also provide administrators with information which can help them to decide whether HIV Rapid Testing is feasible, and to begin the planning and preparation that needs to take place prior to implementation.
