WIC TRAINER

Cicatelli Associates Inc. (CAI), is seeking a highly motivated professional for the FULL-TIME position of WIC Trainer. This individual provides computer-based WICSIS training and other trainings on WIC Program training topics to WIC local agency staff. Training topics will include, but not be limited to: WICSIS for Clerks and CPAs, Pro-ration/Return/Reissue, Nutrition Risk Assessment, High-risk Nutrition Counseling, VENA Trainings, Nutrition Training/Education/Counseling, and Customer Service.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In conjunction with CAI Trainers/TA Specialists, conduct trainings on relevant WIC training topics as scheduled.

• Assist in developing new curricula and/or training sessions as required.

• Travel to Albany Training Center and/or decentralized training location as required.

• Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIRED/ SKILLS:

• Familiar with provisions of WIC services and NYS WIC Program.
• At least 3 years experience using WICSIS and working in a WIC setting
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, nutrition degree a plus
• Experience with training staff (3-5 years minimum), preferably with WIC local agency staff
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in curricula development and designing/developing training materials.
